Helga is a civil litigation attorney and practices real estate litigation, title insurance and mediation. Helga obtained her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from U.C.L.A. and graduated summa cum laude and with Departmental Highest Honors in 2001. She attended Berkeley Law (Boalt Hall School of Law) and obtained her juris doctorate in 2005. Helga then worked as an associate for a municipal law firm and advised cities in civil matters involving land use, enviromental law, development, Constitutional law and First Amendment rights and thereafter, continued her work for the City Attorney’s Office. Helga also has worked in the areas of employment law, specifically wrongful termination and sexual harassment, premises liability and complex personal injury litigation, and is qualified in mediation per the Dispute Resolutions Program Act having successfully mediated civil cases in Orange County and Santa Monica Superior Courts. Helga and Jeff have been working together since 2011 and formed BerkeHakimi in 2012. Helga enjoys cyclying on the beach and yoga.
